Custom CNC Machined Inconel 625 Precision Components Details

The radially ported, internally threaded sleeves shown exemplify FlexiTurn’s CNC machining capabilities for Inconel 625 (UNS N06625). Inconel 625’s extreme work hardening, high shear strength, and built-up edge (BUE) tendency routinely lead to surface tearing, dimensional drift, and subsurface deformation when processed with standard steel parameters. FlexiTurn utilizes superalloy-dedicated tooling, optimized chip loads, and high-pressure coolant to eliminate micro-cracking and preserve native corrosion resistance.

Machining Capabilities & Processing

  • Single-Setup CNC Turning: OD, ID, internal threads, end faces, and chamfers are completed in a single lathe setup, eliminating re-clamping error and ensuring consistent bore-thread-OD concentricity.
  • Precision Indexed Drilling: Radial ports are machined via CNC drilling with calibrated indexing fixtures, ensuring accurate angular spacing and true position relative to the bore. All hole edges are deburred and blended to minimize stress risers in corrosive service environments.
  • Secondary Operations: CNC internal/external grinding, stress-relief heat treatment, pickling, passivation, and surface lapping available upon request.
Materials & Dimensional Specifications

FlexiTurn works with certified premium mill-run Inconel 625, with full mill test reports and batch traceability for every order.

  • Standard material: Inconel 625 (UNS N06625); alternative nickel superalloy grades available on request
  • General dimensional tolerance: ±0.02 mm for features ≤ 50 mm nominal size
  • Thread tolerance: ISO 4H/5H (internal threads)
  • Geometric tolerances: Concentricity ≤ 0.01 mm for features ≤ 50 mm OD; radial hole true position ≤ 0.03 mm
  • Surface finish: Ra 1.6–3.2 μm (standard machined); Ra 0.8–1.6 μm (ground sealing faces)

Why Choose FlexiTurn

Dedicated Superalloy Parameters: Validated cutting speeds, feeds, positive-rake carbide tooling, and high-pressure coolant prevent subsurface strain and edge galling.

Single-Clamp Concentricity Control: Completing all rotational features in one setup eliminates cumulative fixturing error, ensuring uniform wall thickness and interchangeable assembly fit.

100% Process Control & Traceability: All operations are performed in-house. Shipments include original Mill Test Reports (EN 10204 3.1) and full heat batch traceability.

Free 24-Hour DFM Review: Technical CAD evaluation covering wall thickness transitions, thread relief pockets, tool access, and corrosion allowances prior to quotation.

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance: Full dimensional CMM inspection records provided with every order. Third-party NDT (PT/UT) available on request.
