Confidentiality Commitment: Your Design Files Are Secure with FlexiTurn

At FlexiTurn, we understand that your product designs, technical drawings, and engineering specifications are among your most valuable intellectual assets. When you choose us as your CNC machining partner, you are entrusting us with your proprietary information - and we take that responsibility extremely seriously.

This confidentiality statement outlines our unwavering commitment to protecting your design files and ensuring your peace of mind throughout our collaboration.

1. Our Core Promise

FlexiTurn will never share, sell, rent, or disclose your design files or any associated technical information to any third party without your explicit written consent. Your designs are used solely for the purpose of manufacturing the parts you have ordered from us. They are not used for any other internal or external purposes.

We treat every customer file as strictly confidential from the moment it is uploaded to our system until the completion of your order - and beyond.

2. Scope of Confidential Information

This confidentiality commitment covers all design-related materials you provide to us, including but not limited to:

  • 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Technical specifications and material requirements
  • Tolerances, surface finish requirements, and inspection criteria
  • Assembly drawings, bill of materials, and process documentation
  • Any digital files, photographs, or written descriptions that disclose your product design

This information is considered confidential regardless of whether it is marked as “proprietary” or “confidential.”

3. How We Protect Your Files

We have implemented multiple layers of protection to safeguard your design data:

Secure Digital Infrastructure

  • All uploaded files are transmitted via encrypted connections (SSL/TLS)
  • Files are stored on secure servers with restricted access
  • Our network is protected by enterprise-grade firewalls and intrusion detection systems

Access Control

  • Access to customer design files is strictly limited to authorized personnel whose job functions require it - specifically, our engineering team and production planners.
  • Each staff member has unique login credentials, and all access is logged and audited.

Physical Security

  • Our office and workshop facilities are secured with controlled access systems.
  • Printed copies of drawings (if any) are handled in a controlled environment and shredded when no longer needed.

Employee Training and Non-Disclosure

  • All employees sign comprehensive non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) as a condition of employment.
  • Our staff receive regular training on data protection, intellectual property rights, and the importance of customer confidentiality.

4. Use of Your Design Files

Your design files are used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Quoting and feasibility analysis - to evaluate manufacturing costs and technical requirements
  • CAM programming and toolpath generation - to produce the CNC programs necessary for machining your parts
  • Quality assurance - to verify that finished parts conform to your specifications
  • Process improvement and troubleshooting - should any production issues arise

At no point will your files be used for research, development, demonstration, or any other purpose unrelated to fulfilling your order.

5. File Retention and Deletion

We retain your design files for a reasonable period after order completion to support any potential reorders, quality inquiries, or after-sales service needs.

  • Storage period: Typically 2 to 5 years, or as agreed in your purchase contract.
  • Deletion upon request: At any time, you may request that we delete all copies of your files. We will comply promptly and provide written confirmation.
  • Automatic purging: Files for orders that have been completed and fully settled may be automatically archived or securely deleted according to our internal data lifecycle policy.

6. Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

FlexiTurn is fully prepared to sign a mutual or unilateral non-disclosure agreement prior to project commencement. If your organization has its own standard NDA template, we are happy to review and sign it. Alternatively, we can provide our own confidentiality agreement for your review.

We treat your NDA as a binding legal commitment and will adhere to its terms without exception.

7. Third-Party Subcontractors

In some cases, we may engage qualified subcontractors for specialized secondary operations such as heat treatment, surface coating, or non-destructive testing. When we do:

  • We select subcontractors with established reputations for quality and data security.
  • We require them to sign binding confidentiality agreements with terms at least as strict as our own.
  • We ensure that they receive only the minimum necessary information to perform their specific tasks.
  • We take full responsibility for any breach of confidentiality by our subcontractors.

8. Legal Compliance

FlexiTurn complies with all applicable Chinese laws and regulations regarding data protection, trade secrets, and intellectual property rights. We also respect international standards and the specific legal requirements of our clients' home countries wherever applicable.

If we are legally compelled to disclose your information (e.g., by court order), we will notify you immediately and give you the opportunity to seek protective measures before any disclosure occurs.

9. Your Control and Transparency

We believe that trust is built on transparency. You retain full ownership and control over your intellectual property at all times. We do not claim any rights to your designs or the intellectual property embodied in them.

Upon request, we can provide:

  • A summary of our data security measures
  • Logs of access to your files (if required)
  • Confirmation of deletion of your files

We are always open to answering any questions you may have about how we handle your confidential information.

10. Reporting Concerns

If you ever have reason to believe that your confidentiality has been compromised, or if you have any questions about our data protection practices, please contact us immediately. We will investigate thoroughly and take corrective action as needed.

At FlexiTurn, confidentiality is not just a policy - it is a core value embedded in our company culture. We know that your designs represent countless hours of engineering effort, investment, and creativity. We treat them with the same care and respect as we would our own.
