FlexiTurn’s custom CNC machining services

Q: What file formats do you accept for custom CNC parts?
A: We accept 3D CAD files in STEP, IGES, SolidWorks, and STL formats, as well as 2D drawings in PDF or DWG. For best results, please include a technical drawing with tolerances.

Q: What is your typical lead time for custom CNC orders?
A: For standard prototypes, lead time is 3–5 business days. Production parts usually take 7–15 days, depending on complexity and quantity. We also offer expedited services upon request.

Q: Do you offer both prototyping and high‑volume production?
A: Yes. We handle everything from single‑piece prototypes to large‑volume production runs, with flexible batch sizes to match your needs.

Q: What materials can you machine?
A: We machine a wide range of metals and plastics, including aluminum (6061, 7075, 2024), stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium, and engineering plastics like POM, PEEK, and ABS.

Q: What tolerances can you achieve?
A: Our precision CNC machining achieves tolerances as tight as ±0.005 mm (±0.0002") on critical locating and mating features per customer drawings, with standard tolerances of ±0.01–0.05 mm for general structural components, subject to part geometry and material.

Q: How do you ensure quality for custom parts?
A: We follow strict in‑process inspections, first‑article inspection (FAI), and final CMM verification. Every part is checked against your drawings, and we provide full inspection reports upon request.

Q: Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: No. We have no MOQ – we gladly accept orders for one piece or thousands.

Q: Can you help with design optimization to reduce cost?
A: Absolutely. Our engineering team provides Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to help you reduce machining time and material waste while maintaining functionality.

Q: Do you keep my designs confidential?
A: Yes. We sign non‑disclosure agreements (NDAs) upon request, and all your files are stored securely with access limited to authorised personnel only.

Q: What secondary services do you offer?
A: We offer heat treatment, anodizing, powder coating, bead blasting, plating, and assembly services – all in‑house or through qualified partners.

Q: How can I get a quote for my custom part?
A: Simply upload your CAD file or 2D drawing through our website or email it to us. We’ll review the design and provide a competitive quote within 24 hours.
