Custom Precision Brass CNC Machining Parts Details
FlexiTurn specifies C36000 (UNS C36000) brass for chip control, self-lubricating bearing properties and consistent gold finish. FlexiTurn controls the three performance-critical metrics: thread-to-OD concentricity, flange face runout and thread accuracy. FlexiTurn eliminates these with single-setup turning and sharp geometry-optimized tooling, delivering repeatable concentricity and consistent thread quality from prototype through production.
Machining Process & CapabilitiesFlexiTurn runs all core brass turning in-house. Tooling geometry, spindle speed and feed are locked to free-machining brass for controlled chip evacuation and thread finish.
- Single-Setup CNC Turning: Outer diameter, flange shoulder, internal bore and internal thread are turned from solid brass bar in one chucking with a unified datum, eliminating re-chucking error and controlling thread-to-OD concentricity. Rough and finish passes are separated with sharp carbide tooling for controlled surface finish.
- Threading: Internal threads are cut or formed on the CNC lathe to ISO 6H standard. Thread class tolerance verified with go/no-go gages at first article and in-process sampling.
- Deburring: Thread exits and flange edges are deburred to remove cutting burrs without rounding functional bearing surfaces.
- Material Sourcing: FlexiTurn stocks C36000 free-machining brass bar. C54400 phosphor bronze for wear-critical bushings, C26000 cartridge brass and other copper alloys are available on request.

Why Choose FlexiTurn
- Single-setup turning : all critical features in one chucking with unified datum; eliminates cumulative runout across multiple setups.
- Free-machining brass expertise : C36000 chip behavior is controlled with optimized feeds and sharp tooling; no stringy chips or thread tearing.
- Thread quality verified : go/no-go gage inspection on every batch; no marginal thread acceptance.
- Wear-grade material option : C54400 phosphor bronze available for bushing applications requiring extended wear life.
- Scalable from prototypes to volume : bar-stock turned parts with no dedicated tooling cost at low volume; optimized cycle times at production.
- Full in-house control : turning, deburring and inspection completed in-house with batch material traceability.
- Single-source across materials : brass parts plus aluminum, stainless, copper and plastic components consolidated from one supplier.

Q1. What types of machining services do you offer?
We provide comprehensive CNC turning and milling services. FlexiTurn machines are equipped with 8-station programmable turrets and support both turning and 5-axis milling operations, making them suitable for everything from simple cylindrical parts to complex multi-axis components.
Q2. What materials can you work with?
We machine a wide range of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other engineering-grade materials. If you have a specific material in mind, just send us your requirements and we'll confirm feasibility.
Q3. What is your typical lead time?
Lead times vary depending on part complexity, quantity, and material availability. For prototypes and small-batch runs, we typically deliver within 5–10 business days. For high-volume production, we'll provide a customized schedule after reviewing your drawings. Contact us with your project details for an accurate timeline.
Q4. How do you price your services?
Pricing is based on several factors: material cost, machining time, tooling requirements, setup complexity, and order quantity. We offer competitive rates for both low-volume prototypes and high-volume production runs. Request a quote with your CAD files or drawings and we'll get back to you within 24 hours.
Q5. What quality control measures do you have in place?
We follow strict quality control procedures throughout the machining process. Our CNC systems support programmable precision down to 1 μm, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability. Every batch undergoes dimensional inspection before shipping, and we can provide inspection reports upon request.
