Custom 304 Stainless Steel Sheet Metal Parts Details

FlexiTurn provides precision sheet metal fabrication for custom symmetric double U-type mounting brackets in grade 304 stainless steel. Engineered for industrial equipment, medical devices, and cleanroom assemblies, these brackets deliver exceptional corrosion resistance, structural rigidity, and long-term cleanability.

To eliminate the springback, angular drift, and hole misalignment inherent to thin-gauge stainless steel, FlexiTurn applies material-specific CNC blanking and calibrated press-brake forming. This controlled process eliminates residual burrs and surface defects, preserving base-metal properties while guaranteeing repeatable dimensional accuracy and precise assembly alignment.

Fabrication Process & Capabilities

FlexiTurn executes the full production sequence in-house, with process parameters calibrated specifically for 304 and 316L stainless steel sheet to ensure consistent forming accuracy.

CNC Cutting & Blanking: All blank profiles are cut via CNC laser or precision punching with optimized nesting, delivering clean, near-burr-free edges and precise overall dimensions. Material grain orientation is controlled during nesting to ensure uniform bending behavior across all parts.

Precision Press Brake Forming: All U-bends and angular features are formed on calibrated CNC press brakes with grade-specific springback compensation programmed per material gauge and inner bend radius. In-process angle verification ensures accurate bend angles and consistent symmetry between left and right mounting ears.

CNC Punching & Drilling: Mounting holes are punched or drilled with indexed fixturing, ensuring accurate hole spacing and true position relative to bend features. All hole edges are deburred to eliminate sharp edges and stress risers.

Secondary Operations: Vibratory deburring, grained surface finishing and ASTM A967-compliant passivation are available on request to enhance corrosion resistance and meet specific surface requirements.

Quality Assurance

All stainless steel sheet metal components are manufactured under FlexiTurn’s ISO 9001:2015-aligned quality management system:

100% Material Traceability: Full batch tracking from mill certificate to finished part, with original material test reports on file for every order.

In-Process Verification: In-process angle, hole position and dimensional checks at all critical forming stages to catch deviation early.

Final Inspection: Full dimensional verification, edge burr screening and surface finish inspection to ensure compliance with drawing specifications.

Why Choose FlexiTurn

Material-specific forming accuracy: Most general sheet metal shops run stainless steel parts with generic bend parameters, leading to uncontrolled springback, angular drift and inconsistent hole alignment. FlexiTurn’s press brake operations use grade-specific springback compensation and in-process angle verification, delivering consistent symmetry and mounting accuracy that commodity fabricators cannot match.

Full in-house process control: All operations — from blanking and forming to finishing and final inspection — are performed on FlexiTurn’s premises with zero subcontracting. This reduces lead time variability, eliminates third-party markup and maintains direct oversight of every quality-critical step.

Sheet metal DFM engineering support: Every CAD submission receives a complimentary Design for Manufacturability assessment within 24 hours, focused on sheet metal forming constraints and stainless steel performance. Our engineering team evaluates bend radii, hole-to-bend edge distances, wall thickness transitions and mounting hole patterns to mitigate production risk, optimize unit cost and maximize part performance in service.

Cost-effective, reliable global partnership: As a China-based precision manufacturing enterprise, FlexiTurn leverages a mature industrial ecosystem to deliver competitive pricing without compromising quality. We support orders from single prototypes to high-volume production, with dedicated project managers providing transparent, regular communication throughout every project. Your designs and intellectual property are fully protected by our strict confidentiality protocols and NDA frameworks.
