Custom CNC Milled Aluminum Parts for Automotive Details

FlexiTurn provides precision CNC machining for custom 90-degree aluminum banjo fittings, including black hard-anodized AN flare adapters for automotive oil, fuel, and thermal management systems.

We machine these fittings from 6061-T6 aluminum bar stock using integrated CNC turning and 3-axis milling. All rotational features are completed in one turning setup to maintain thread concentricity and alignment. Side mounting lugs and locating faces are machined with controlled fixturing. Type III hard anodizing is available with thread and sealing dimensions pre-compensated to preserve final fit tolerances.

CNC Machining Capabilities

  • Precision CNC Turning: Single-setup turning produces flare profiles, threaded sections, internal bores and sealing shoulders with strict concentricity control and consistent surface finish on mating surfaces.
  • 3-Axis Milling & Drilling: 3-axis CNC milling machines form side mounting lugs, locating features and through-holes with controlled positional accuracy for reliable bolted installation.
  • Hard Anodizing Dimensional Control: Pre-coating dimension compensation and post-coating verification ensure thread and sealing face tolerances remain within specification after black Type III anodizing.
  • Aluminum Process Calibration: Spindle speeds, feed rates and carbide tool geometries are fine-tuned for 6061-T6 aluminum to minimize edge burrs, control surface roughness and maintain consistent dimensional accuracy across production batches.

Quality Assurance

Every aluminum banjo fitting is manufactured under FlexiTurn’s ISO 9001:2015-aligned quality management system:

  • 100% Raw Material Traceability: Full batch tracking for aluminum bar stock, backed by original Mill Test Certificates with verified material properties.
  • In-Process Inspection: In-process dimensional and thread checks at all critical machining stages to verify concentricity, thread form and feature positions.
  • Final Verification: Go/No-Go thread gauge testing, sealing surface inspection and eddy-current coating thickness measurement ensure leak-tight fit and consistent surface quality.
  • 100% Visual Inspection: Full edge and thread screening to remove burrs and ensure no surface defects prior to shipment.

Why Choose FlexiTurn

  • Integrated turning & milling expertise: Combined CNC turning and 3-axis milling capabilities deliver both rotational precision and side mounting features in a streamlined workflow, reducing lead times for multi-feature fluid components.
  • Controlled coating dimensional accuracy: Pre-compensated machining and verified hard anodizing processes ensure consistent thread fit and sealing performance after surface treatment, no secondary rework required.
  • 100% in-house machining control: All turning, milling, drilling, deburring and dimensional inspection operations are performed on-site with no subcontracting, ensuring reliable lead times and uniform quality across prototype and production volumes.
  • Scalable production capacity: Seamless transition from rapid prototype quantities and low-volume test runs to medium-volume serial production, with consistent process standards across all batch sizes.
  • Cost-optimized solutions: Leveraging China’s mature aluminum supply chain and optimized multi-process machining workflows, we deliver globally competitive pricing without compromising dimensional accuracy, sealing performance or surface durability.
  • Dedicated technical project management: Each customer is assigned a dedicated project manager to provide transparent communication, regular progress updates and responsive engineering support from initial quotation through final delivery.
  • Strict intellectual property protection: All customer designs, drawings and project data are managed under strict information security protocols. NDAs are executed upon request to fully protect your proprietary specifications.
