Product Overview:

FlexiTurn provides professional contract CNC routing and composite fabrication services. Utilizing high-speed CNC routers, PCD (polycrystalline diamond) tooling, calibrated speeds/feeds, and sacrificial backing boards, we strictly control edge delamination and eliminate fiber fraying. From laminate selection (T300, T700, high-modulus M-series) to 2D edge chamfering, epoxy resin edge sealing, and in-house press-fit metal insert assembly, FlexiTurn delivers ready-to-use structural composite parts with 3–5 day prototyping and flexible order volumes.

CNC Carbon Fiber Machining Parts Details

FlexiTurn manufactures precision CNC-machined carbon fiber (CFRP) components — including circular and hexagonal mounting flanges, curved linkage arms, and structural brackets — from autoclave-cured prepreg laminate sheets. Specializing in custom OEM/ODM fabrication, we process high-quality carbon fiber laminates into tight-tolerance, clean-edged structural components engineered to your exact drawing requirements, with integrated metal hardware assembly available.

Contract Machining Capabilities

Precision 3-Axis CNC Composite Routing High-speed CNC routing centers equipped with PCD (polycrystalline diamond) tooling cut prepreg laminates cleanly, minimizing micro-cracking, edge fraying, and fiber pull-out. Feed rates and spindle speeds calibrated per laminate thickness and resin system.

High-Accuracy Composite Drilling & Slotting Optimized peck-drilling cycles with sacrificial backing boards maintain true-position hole accuracy while minimizing exit-side ply separation on through-holes and slots. Helical interpolation available for oversized holes.

2D Perimeter Edge Finishing & Chamfering Automated perimeter edge routing and chamfering remove sharp edges and reduce micro-fractures for smooth handling and tight assembly fitment.

Epoxy Edge Resin Sealing Resin sealing along exposed cut edges protects against moisture ingress, environmental degradation, and mechanical fiber peeling in demanding field applications.

Integrated Hardware Installation In-house machined or sourced aluminum, stainless steel, and brass threaded inserts, standoffs, and rivet nuts are precision press-fit or heat-set into carbon panels for reliable, high-torque mechanical connections.

Why Choose FlexiTurn for Carbon Fiber Machining

Controlled Delamination & Superior Edge Quality

By combining PCD tooling with optimized cutting geometry, tuned feed rates, and vacuum clamping fixtures, FlexiTurn minimizes delamination across all routed edges and hole perimeters. Edge quality acceptance criteria agreed per project.

Single-Source Hybrid Machining

Leveraging our core CNC metal turning and milling infrastructure, we manufacture custom metal sleeves and inserts in-house and integrate them directly into carbon fiber assemblies under one unified quality system — no third-party dependency.

Direct Engineering DFM Support

Every drawing undergoes a complimentary Design for Manufacturability review evaluating hole-to-edge distance, minimum internal corner radii, and insert installation parameters — with feedback within 24 working hours.

Stringent Quality Assurance & Traceability

ISO 9001:2015 certified quality controls with CMM dimensional audits for hole pitch and true position, plus 100% visual edge inspection to ensure batch-to-batch repeatability.

Rapid Prototyping & Flexible Production

3–5 business day lead times for evaluation samples from standard in-stock laminates. No rigid MOQ — scaling from single-piece prototypes to volume production runs.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Guidelines

  • Internal Corner Radius: Design internal cutouts with R ≥ 1.0× cutter diameter (typically R ≥ 1.5 mm) to avoid tool chatter and stress concentration.
  • Hole-to-Edge Distance: Maintain hole-center-to-edge distance ≥ 2.0× hole diameter to prevent edge breakout under tensile or shear load.
  • Fastener Connections: Direct thread tapping into carbon fiber laminates is not recommended for dynamic loads. Specify press-fit metal inserts, rivet nuts, or threaded standoffs.
  • Ply Orientation: Confirm primary load direction aligns with fiber axes for maximum structural efficiency.

Project Workflow

Submit CAD Files — 2D (DXF/DWG) or 3D (STEP) drawings + laminate thickness, weave, surface finish, and insert specifications

Fast DFM & Quote — Technical DFM evaluation (edge distance, corner radius, ply orientation) and itemized quotation within 24 working hours

Prototype Machining — Precision CNC routing of evaluation samples with CMM dimensional inspection reports

Production & Assembly — Scalable batch routing, edge chamfering, epoxy sealing, and metal hardware installation Delivery — Individual scratch-proof protective packaging and international express / freight shipping

Custom laminate note: Standard-thickness in-stock laminates require no tooling charge. Custom ply layup or non-standard thickness requires minimum run quantities and extended lead time — quoted per specification.
