7075 Aluminum Blanks

At FlexiTurn, we not only export raw mill stock of 7075-T6, 7075-T651, 7075-T7351, and 7075-O round bars, heavy plates, tubes, and forgings compliant with international standards (AA 7075, EN AW-7075, JIS A7075), but also specialize in providing custom one-stop pre-machining services tailored to your exact drawings and procurement specs. Our services include custom blank sizing, precision custom-length sawing, surface & cylindrical grinding, 6-side rough milling & squaring, ID/OD trepanning (annular core cutting), and thermal pre-treatment (vacuum stress-relief annealing).

7075 Aluminum Blanks FAQs

We primarily provide pre-machining services for 7075 aluminum alloys from raw plates/stock to machining-ready precision blanks. Key services include: precision custom-length sawing, 6-side surface grinding/milling for heavy plates and square blocks (skinning, oxide scale removal, and squaring), ID/OD trepanning (annular core cutting for hollow blanks while preserving the solid inner core), centerless and cylindrical grinding, and vacuum stress-relief annealing. Upon receiving the shipment, clients can proceed directly to critical finish-machining without wasting machine time on heavy roughing and stock removal.
Backed by official import/export credentials, we enforce strict source quality control. All 7075 aluminum stock is sourced exclusively from fully certified primary mills; unverified secondary scrap aluminum is strictly prohibited. Every shipped batch is hard-stamped with its original Heat/Lot Number and accompanied by an official Mill Test Report (MTR/MTC compliant with EN 10204 3.1). For demanding applications such as aerospace and precision tooling, we prioritize pre-stretched plate stock (e.g., 7075-T651) and provide Ultrasonic Testing (UT) NDT reports per AMS 2631 / ASTM B594 standards to guarantee zero internal cracks, zero slag inclusions, and minimal machining distortion.
7075-T6 Blanks: Ideal for general structural component blanks subject to extremely high static loads.

7075-T651 Blanks: Stress-relieved via stretching, these blanks exhibit minimal warping or spring-back during heavy CNC cavity roughing, making them the top choice for high-precision CNC machined parts and mold blanks.

7075-T7351 Blanks: Over-aged to deliver exceptional Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) resistance and fracture toughness, commonly specified for blanks used in harsh aerospace high-pressure and subsea marine environments.

Sourcing custom pre-machined blanks delivers three major advantages:

Lower International Freight: Raw 7075 mill plates feature large machining allowances. Pre-machining eliminates dead weight, preventing you from paying expensive sea/air freight for waste chips.

Protecting Local CNC Equipment: Shifting labor-intensive 6-side squaring and skin removal off-site reduces load on your local machines and minimizes expensive cutter wear.

Ensuring Dimensional Stability: Utilizing pre-stretched stress-relieved stock (T651/T7351) or annealed blanks drastically minimizes the risk of part distortion during downstream machining of thin-walled or complex aerospace structures.

7075 aluminum alloy features high hardness (up to 150 HB) and excellent smooth finishes after pre-machining, but untreated surfaces can oxidize over time. Therefore, we provide anti-rust passivation and protective anti-oxidation packaging after machining. Once clients complete downstream finish-machining, we recommend applying standard anodizing, Hard Anodizing (Type III, for superior wear resistance), or electroless nickel plating for optimal corrosion resistance and surface protection.
